Our craftsmen possess exceptional and ancestral skills which enhance magnificent cathedrals, wonders of the rural world and contemporary constructions. From the Renaissance’s classical style to the purity of Art Deco, they work all over France. Forge d’Art Loubière can restore a candelabra to its former glory, refurbish a cupola or armature, rejuvenate the ornamentation on a gate or protect stained glass windows from the elements. From commissions of a few weeks to more lengthy assignments, every project begins as a new challenge. To restore a piece of ironwork to its original condition, the blacksmiths’ mission is to return to the fundamental principles. On site, numerous plans are drawn up, photographs are taken and films are made. Every last detail down to the tiniest arabesque is scrutinized and recorded. When extensive projects require considerable logistical input, each element is dismantled with the utmost care. By respecting the harmony of the original work, Loubière’s blacksmiths are able to recapture the intention of their predecessors. They know that a perfect restoration is one that cannot be seen.
