Exterior restoration of
THE CASTLE
Originally a simple wooden fort, Huisseau-sur-Mauves castle was replaced around the 10th century with a fortified castle, around which were grouped the dwellings that form the embryo of today’s village. The Huisseau estate has remained in the hands of its founders since 1160.
We worked on the restoration of the exterior of the castle in partnership with the heritage architect Martine Rabat.
